Eureka
from 1 year 9 months up to 3 yearsEureka. I’ve got it! Where does it come from, how and why?
This course is designed for children aged 1 year 9 months up to 3 years. This is when children start to bombard their parents with an unending stream of questions, all of which require responses otherwise the youngster may lose interest in their surrounding world and in self-development. At this juncture, the child is interested in absolutely everything: why the sun shines, why butterflies fly, why rain falls from the sky, and thousands of other, “why”, “why”, “why’s”…Thanks to these queries, children make new discoveries every minute and learn about the world. At this age children begin to realize they’re a free person. They increasingly need to receive more independent answers on every “why” question. The Eureka course is designed especially for children who are at the “how’s and why’s” age and is called on to provide answers to these questions.
What will the child learn in the Eureka group?
In the course of a year curious “how’s and why’s” children will get to know the names of objects around them and their specific purpose. They’ll receive introductory lessons in elementary mathematics, and start to learn reading and writing. The main goal of the lessons is to arouse curiosity in children, a desire to experiment and achieve results. Thanks to this, children will develop spirit, will power and the ability to notice various capabilities and independent problem solving skills. Children who have these kinds of qualities excel in school and are always eager to take on new tasks.
Structure of lessons or what is the child engaged in?
Lessons last two hours and are made up of three parts:
1. Intellectual development games (speech development, logic, self-help skills, English language).
2. Emotional intelligence development games (music, choreography, art, ethics).
3. A mixed lunch is the final stage of the lesson where children learn how to wash their hands before eating and table manners. The lesson takes place in an organized developmental setting, in a pleasant, comfortable atmosphere turning the learning exercise into an entertaining game.
As a result of taking the Eureka course, children will be able to:
1 Independently adjust to periods of recess and activity during the lesson;
2 Effectively engage independently in a team;
3 Enjoy the learning process;
4 Identify objects according to their attributes
5 Set and achieve goals;
6 Put toys back in their rightful place;
7 Apply the skills they learned in real life (counting, physical properties, self-help, tell colors apart from each other);
8 Peacefully defend one’s interests;
9 Develop their intuition, fantasy – role playing games.
All of these skills prepare the child for the next period of development and subsequent adaptation of knowledge and skills in the next Clever Kids program of Fantasy.
